Vana Trust Annual Charity Golf Day
On Thursday 1 August 2019 Elite School of Beauty participated in the Vana Trust Charity Golf Day at Chapman Golf Club by offering neck and shoulder massages to the trustees and golf players of the day. Vana Trust is a social project which was founded in 1998 to assist paying school fees for children in the St David's Chihota catchment area orphaned by HIV/AIDS. It was an honour for our students to have taken part in this initiative and we hope to continue supporting this movement.

Professional Beauty Exhibition 2019 South Africa
Elite School of Beauty students took an educational trip to South Africa to attend the Professional Beauty Expo and World Spa & Wellness Convention on 1 – 2 September 2019 at the Gallagher Estate, Midrand, South Africa. The Beauty Expo was an enlightening and eye-opening event where industry experts meet to exhibit their goods and services. The students gained valuable exposure and learnt about all the latest trends in this fast-growing industry of Beauty, Spa and Wellness. This trip also served as a unique opportunity for the students to purchase exam consumables at discounted prices during the expo
Afro Chic High Tea
We had an elegant High Tea event on Friday 13 September graced by Miss Melissa Mwale who spoke on "Stepping into what's yours". Melissa is a young entrepreneur who was recently listed on the Africa Forbes List for 30 under 30 Technology Category 2019. She is full of wisdom, strength and powerful words that deeply touched each of us. She challenged the students to personally respond to the following questions: Who am I? What do I want? Where am I going? The afternoon ended with a fun and impromptu Miss Elite Beauty Pageant which was won by Junior Machisvo with Nyasha Chinenyanga and Shelly Bent taking First and Second Princess respectively.
CIDESCO WORLD CONGRESS CHICAGO USA 2019
Elite School of Beauty is proud to have attended the CIDESCO World Congress starting 16 September 2019 hosted by the CIDESCO USA section in Chicago USA under the theme "The Architecture of Beauty". It was an amazing week interacting with the world's leading experts in skin care and spa, and learning all the latest technologies from the educational summit. We have learnt to keep doing what we do with passion and high standards, to stay professional and to keep our heads high in all circumstances. We promise to empower our students with great knowledge and to create a beautiful future for Zimbabwean professionals in the beauty, spa and wellness industry.
CIDESCO Students In-Salon Training
Our CIDESCO students had the privilege of attending a 2 week in-salon training in various spas from 16 - 27 September 2019. The students got a chance to work on and interact with real clients and to learn how to manage a salon/spa on a daily basis while matching theory to practical. Special thanks to the following salons/spa for accommodating and mentoring our students:

Special mention to Fadzi and Thabisile who got the opportunity to travel to Lusaka Zambia for the in-salon training and Munashe who did her training at the world renowned Singita Pamushana Lodge.
